  • LIFE Grant

    The LIFE Grant is available throughout the school year and may be used to request supplies, materials, or other resources that go beyond the everyday items provided by the school.

    • Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the year.
    • The LIFE committee meets in September, January, and April to review requests and vote on funding.
    • There is no minimum/maximum amount that may be requested.

    • If you would like your request considered at the September meeting, please submit it by September 9th.
    • Whenever you submit an application, please let Mrs. Griffin know so she can make sure it is submitted for the necessary approval and shared with the LIFE committee.
    • Applicants are expected to present their request to the committee. If you are unable to attend, you can provide additional information, photos, or other materials for me to share with the committee on your behalf.

    LIFE Grant

  • Leker Grant

    The Leker Grant is designed to support a special project or educational opportunity that goes above and beyond regular classroom activities.

    • The grant is awarded once each year.
    • Textbooks and materials that would normally be provided by the district are not eligible.
    • Applications are reviewed by individuals who are not affiliated with Lamar R-I Schools.
    • Proposals are evaluated based on:
      • Creativity and innovation
      • Meaningful and lasting educational involvement
      • A systematic and thoughtful approach to project development
      • Completeness and organization of information
      • Evidence of a genuine desire for instructional improvement rather than simply obtaining materials or equipment
    • The maximum award is $750.
